Are you a vwo student interested in debating? Would you like to receive training, coaching and feedback from the leading debate experts of the Netherlands? Do you want to get the chance to be selected for Team Netherlands, the Dutch national team that respresents The Netherlands at the World Schools Debating Championships? Sign up for World Schools Academy now!

The World Schools Academy (WSA) – the former Roosevelt World Schools Academy – is an English debate event for vwo students class 1 through 5 on Saturday May 28th. During this event the coaches of the Dutch national team will provide workshops and you will participate in debates, after which you will receive useful feedback. Apart from taking your debate skills to the next level, this event also offers the exclusive opportunity to be selected for Team Netherlands, the Dutch national team that represents the Netherlands during the World Schools Debating Championships. Are you in class 1 to 4? Then you are also eligible to be selected for the Junior Track, a debate track specially designed for the most talented young debaters of The Netherlands. WSA has limited spots available, so sign up now!

The event will be held on Saturday May 28th and therefore has a slightly different setup than previous years. This training is organized by the Netherlands Debate Institute Foundation and the Dutch Schools Debating Foundation and supported by the province of Zeeland.

The DSDC Foundation was founded in 2000 by current Dutch minister of Justice Ard van de Steur to select and guide the Dutch national debate team. Their coaching team selects talented high school students and prepares them for the World Schools Debating Championships. Students attend weekly coaching sessions and international tournaments as preperation for the world championships.

The selection for World Schools Academy 2016 is known!
Many thanks for all your applications; the next 38 debaters are selected and shall receive an invitation by e-mail.
